Meyer sits down with with Tisch for an enlightening 20 minute interview on his journey to be the entrepreneur he is today. They begin their discussion at Maialino as Meyer explains how he decided to become a restaurateur, opening Union Square Cafe at the tender age of 27 (For those of us in our 20s, you still have time!). He discusses the difficult decision to open a second restaurant and how it has led to his now 11 concepts. Finally Meyer discusses the international expansion of Shake Shack, discussing his belief that it is important to live within a short distance from each restaurant but feels Shake Shack will thrive based on its formula and process - even without his Midas touch nearby.
